| Description: | In the focus of attention of the article are the basic principles of the communicative and cognitive approach to foreign language teaching. It is suggested that the following factors should be taken into account: stimulation of students' speech and mental activity, widening their knowledge space, development of multiple intelligences, worldview and linguistic personality, formation of communicative competence taking into consideration students' epistemological styles, etc |
