Abstract: The work is devoted to the issue of reducing the negative impact of higher harmonic oscillations on the shaft hoisting installation with thyristor drive of mines using energy saving technologies. The article analyzes the consequences of the negative impact of higher harmonics on the state of mine hoisting plants and the possibility of using filter compensating devices (FCD). The features of the FCD are considered. The advantages and disadvantages of filter compensating devices are analyzed
