RESISTANCE TO CHANGE IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Abstract

Necessity of rapid and effective implementation of reforms in higher educational sphere determines the increase of scientific and practical interest to the problem of resistance to changes, which is redoubled by the fact that interests of wide educational circles are to be reconciled. Based on analysis of existing definitions, generalization of main peculiarities of higher education as an environment of resistance origin, detecting of its sources and consequences in accordance to the stage of change’s life-cycle, essence and display of resistance to changes in educational sphere are specified in the article.
