| Description: | The article proves the necessity of going beyond the academic neoclassical theory and draws attention to the institutional theory of the firm. Provides an overview of the main aims of the institutional theory of the firm in connection with a problem of development category of transaction costs and the need for the synthesis of these concepts into a single whole. |
