| Abstract: | Стаття присвячена процесу формування та укріплення регіональної ідентичності в одному з найбільш специфічних регіонів України – Донбасі. Виявляються головні чинники, які сприяли посиленню серед мешканців східного регіону відчуття приналежності до певної „уявленої спільноти”, яка базується на єдності території проживання. Серед низки чинників, головну роль відіграли спільний соціально-культурний досвід і модель інституційних змін під час впровадження ринкових механізмів і посилення авторитаризму. |
| Description: | The article is devoted to the processes of genesis and strengthening of regional identity in one of the most specific regions of Ukraine – Donbass. The major factors determining the increase in the feelings of belonging to an imagined community based on the commonality of territory are identified. Among them shared socio-cultural experience and the model of institutional changes in the period of the implementation of market mechanisms and authoritarianism are most significant. |
