Abstract

There is no denying that a Ukrainian public officer must have a good knowledge of English. With a myriad of reforms under way in Ukraine, being able to deal directly with foreign politicians and public servants is at the top of the list for most public officers in this country, and English plays an essential part in this process. A piece of good news for aspiring but doubting and discouraged public officers is that there are scores of web applications that can make learning English easier and more interesting. An excellent resource is an American web application called “Quizlet”.
