Abstract: Статья анализирует понятие «инженерная культура» и необходимые аспекты для ее формирования. В ней рассматривается профессиональная культура студента, его политическая и эстетическая культура, интеллектуальный облик студента, а также мировоззренческая культура. На основе обзора наиболее авторитетных взглядов на состояние и перспективы формирования инженерной культуры выявлена взаимосвязь всех этих аспектов для реализации приоритетной цели подготовки инженера – воспитание мотивированного и высокоинтеллектуального специалиста. Сделан вывод о том, что стратегия и тактика подготовки специалиста должны проводиться с учетом необходимости гуманизации и гуманитаризации технического образования. Обоснована необходимость активизации творческой активности студента на основе все более тонкого учета его индивидуальности и реализации его способностей в меняющихся экономических реалиях.
Description: The article has analyzed the notion «engineering culture» some necessary aspects for its development. It has examined professional culture of students, their political culture, esthetical culture, intellectual image of students and world-outlook. The most authoritative views on the state and perspectives of engineering culture development have been observed. It has been found out that there is an interaction of all these aspects for upbringing a highly motivated and intellectual specialist, which is the main aim of engineers’ training. It has been concluded that the strategy and tactics of a specialist training should be carried out taking into account the necessity of humanization and humanitarization of technical education. The main aim of humanitarization is a complete development of the student’s personality quantities, development of their professional, political, moral, world-outlook and intellectual culture. The student personality appears to be the object and subject of social relations. The analysis of all the aspects of the student’s personality has revealed the insufficiency of their professional culture. Professional engineering culture is based on the norms and values which appeared in the process of development of engineering. They are in such a great demand s never before. Engineering norms and values are a complex system and they are hierarchically structured depending on the factors which are stipulated both by inner logics of engineering development and more extended culture and social context. Thus, it is essential to study the issues which look at the personality of a student and their individual abilities and social functions. In order to bring up a student with a highly developed personality it is necessary to encourage their interest to the achievements and values of the national and world culture, broaden their humanitarian horizons and enrich their spiritual culture. Higher technical education ought to train students, as well as bring them up as a modern generation of engineers who have mastered scientific, technical and humanitarian subjects. It ought to encourage them to acquire cultural skills and experience. Thus, higher technical education is a link in the science-education-production system.
