Description: | The article deals with the problems of activating students in the paradigm of their professional self-realization and self-improvement, as well as with some theoretical and practical aspects of workshop. The article analyses and characterizes workshop as one of the teaching methods based on the principles of obtaining dynamic knowledge, these principles being clearly exemplified. A lot of attention is paid to competences and skills which can be developed due to organizing workshops. Among competences, skills and abilities developed with the help of workshop we should mention the following ones: ability to study, analytical, creative, practical and communicative skills, as well as communicative speech competences. Moreover, the author stresses that due to using workshops as a method of organizing teaching, the communicative competence of students is realized in different kinds of speech activities. The article proves that workshop belongs to interactive teaching methods, which help a person manage his/her education and self-realization, as it activates a student’s individual potential through independent learning and intensive group interaction. Thus it is more effective for solving different tasks of language learning in the modern education system in comparison with traditional techniques |
