| Description: | The productivity of computer graphics depends on a data representation and rendering. This article discusses the voxel-based approach, in which the data sets are in volumetric form. Just as 2D raster graphics superseded vector graphics, volume graphics has the potential to supersede surface graphics for 3D geometric scene representation, manipulation, and rendering. |
