HYDRAULIC DESIGN SPECIFYING OF AERODISPERSE FLOWS OF POWDERED MATERIAL

Abstract

The hydraulic design of the conveying pipeline in the engineering practice of pneumatic conveying systems is a difficult problem. The known techniques of the hydraulic design are of empirical character and their application is limited by the experimental conditions. The purpose of the present article is creation of the theoretical principles for the development of the new technique distinguished by the improved design accuracy. In the present article the general formulas of the hydraulic design of specific pressure losses in the horizontal pipeline and incoming parameters are submitted. The aerodisperse flow features of powdered solids in comparison with the grain ones are taken into account. Verifying designs show their good coincidence with the experimental data.
