| Abstract: | У статті зроблено аналіз благодійної, філантропічної та меценатської діяльності українських братств. Доведено, що православні братства опікували бідних, немічних та вдів; відкривали та утримували шпиталі, лічниці та сиротинці. Особливу увагу братства приділяли розвитку української освіти, виступали меценатами шкільної та друкарської справ. |
| Description: | In the article the analysis of eleemosynary, philanthropic and patron of art activity of Ukrainian fraternities is done. It is led to, that orthodox fraternities cared of poor, feeble and widows; opened and retained hospitals, lichnitsi and sirotintsi. The special attention of fraternity was spared to development of Ukrainian education, came forward the patrons of art of school and printing businesses. |
