Короткий огляд (реферат): | We have analyzed a number of recent studies on the problem of socialization, individual’s self-knowledge, self-determination and the means of intensifying these processes. We consider selfdetermination one of the aspects of socialization of the individual and a current socio-psychological problem, which requires more theoretical and practical examination. The educational process of higher education can be an important stage in the formation of many valuable skills for students to “communicate" with their inner world. Therefore, we conducted a survey of schoolchildren and students of higher education in order to explore the relationship between the higher education and personal self-knowledge, self-awareness and self-determination of young people, to identify opportunities for creating a favorable, motivating and stimulating educational space. The results showed that increasing the degree of students’ independence is a natural process, associated with life changing circumstances. The structures of awareness, planning and ability to make decisions are still at the medium and even low levels. This indicates that the first year of university did not affect the growth of internal professional readiness. Therefore, there is a need for purposeful work on training and development of components of career readiness among young people. In the modern process of reviewing approaches to the training of specialists in higher education institutions, setting new goals, finding optimal models and pedagogical, technical, social means of their effective implementation, it is important to pay special attention to personal and professional self-determination. Thus, it can be emphasized that an important task of higher education is to create a favorable, motivating and stimulating educational space that activates the internal process of cognition and self-determination, as well as creativity of the young person. |
