dc.descriptionIn this paper the process of functioning of public authorities’ websites, in particular city councils’ in small towns of Ukraine is described. The requirements to the official web portals, legal documents that regulate these requirements and the main disadvantages of websites are accounted. In the article it is stated that the website of the local government, in particular of the City Council, is an effective way for public access to public information of informing the territorial community about the latest news and events from the life of the city and providing the feedback. The legal documents that define the structure of the authorities’ web-sites, requirements for the content, interface design, interactivity etc. are described. The aim of the paper is to analyze the disadvantages of city councils’ web-sites, because of the lack of funds for implicating highly qualified specialists in this area the functioning of government portals in small towns is unsatisfactory. So, the effective work of a city council depends on close communication with the inhabitants of the city that can be achieved by functioning of the official city council web-site means with interactive features.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ цій роботі розглядаються типові помилки та проблеми функціонування веб-сайтів органів місцевого самоврядування, зокрема міських рад невеликих міст України. Перелічені вимоги до офіційних веб-порталів та нормативно-правові документи, які регламентують ці вимоги. Наведено основні недоліки веб-сайтів та рекомендації щодо їх покращення. В этой работе рассматриваются типичные ошибки и проблемы функционирования веб-сайтов органов местного самоуправления, в частности городских советов небольших городов Украины. Перечислены требования к официальным веб-порталам и нормативно-правовые документы, регламентирующие эти требования. Приведены основные недостатки сайтов и рекомендации по их улучшению.en_US
