Description: Designing the automatic systems images identification assumes the decision of a segmentation task. The variety of treatments of the term "segmentation" and absence of exact definition of the fragments of images which is necessary to allocate at segmentation has predetermined the innoduction of the concept "local-global directions". Considering the images as black-and-white marks as sets of active atomic elements the problem of definition of the said "directions" in terms of properties of coincident representations is actual. The study of the subsets of atomic elements simulating "directions" and the set of criteria for their revealing in marks establishment will allow to carry out automatic decomposition of the images, that substantially will lower ambiguity of segmentation.
