Abstract

The article focuses on essence and preconditions of environmental-economic relations, clarify the origins of abovementioned categories, outlining the problems of humanity at the beginning of the XXI century. It has been founded that the category of "economy" and "ecology" are interrelated and controversial as this is manifested through human needs that are limitless, and the use of resources of nature that are limited. This is a prerequisite for the emergence and development of environmental and economic relations. It has been proved that the modern socio-economic system gradually becomes PostCapitalism features, providing rational use of natural resources, their distribution according to social justice, economic growth and efficiency.
