Abstract: The article analyzes the preconditions and directions of the development of mold oscillation mechanism of continuous casting machine and the corresponding questions of stability and safety ensuring of continuous casting processes and their quality. In the international practice of continuous casting articulation linkage is replaced by spring mechanisms. Having a number of definite advantages, the spring mould oscillating system does not ensure the set parameters of polyharmonic oscillatory mode of movement. The elastic-joint-lever mechanism is offered as an alternative variant.
