Abstract:	The construction peculiarities, operation principle and work modes of executive organ (rotor wheel) of wheel excavator and its electric drive is considering. The alternative module variable-frequency linear asynchronous electric drive attached to disposition of its linear induction motors inside of rotor wheel was offered.
